What is the Genesis X Convertible

The X Convertible concept can be traced back to the X Concept, a two-door grand tourer that showcased the Genesis brand's popular athletic elegance design language. The second vehicle in this lineup was the X Speedium Coupe concept, which continued to display the brand's signature athletic elegance in an even more progressive way, also brandishing the evolution of the Genesis Crest Grille that soon evolved into a lighting signature which further signified its electric powertrain. The new X Convertible concept takes the X Speedium Coupe further up the emotional scale.

With the Genesis X Convertible concept, you get an architecture, and electric powertrain that takes the X Concept in 2021 and the X Speedium Concept in 2022, which, combined with its folding hardtop roof, will allow drivers to communicate fully with nature free from any mechanical disturbance. In addition, the Genesis X Convertible concept's long bonnet, generous dash-to-axle, short front overhang, and exceptionally long wheelbase accentuate this fantastic vehicle's elegance. Then there are the characteristic quad lights are also present on the X Convertible concept, which will further integrate the new EV face while forming the abstract of the Crest Grille. Furthermore, the cooling function for the powertrain and batteries has been relocated to the lower openings of the front bumper. Last but not least, we have to mention the wheels, a combination of the Genesis G-Matrix pattern orchestrated by an aero dish concave section as the spacers extract the heat from the brakes.

Inside the cabin of the Genesis X Convertible, you will find it comes with a driver-centric four-seat asymmetric layout which has been a theme throughout the Genesis concept vehicles. Meanwhile, the wraparound instrument panel integrates with the center console and forms a cocoon around the driver concept, emphasizing the performance-oriented attributes and the connection with the driver. The primary interior color is Glwa Navy, made from recyclable wool fabric; this textured woven pad graphic is wrapped around the entire cabin and contrasts the smooth and slick leather surfaces on the seats. Meanwhile, Dancheong Orange serves as the accent color and the stitching on all the seats and fabric. Finally, the exterior of the Genesis X Convertible concepts is painted in Crane White, achieving a luxurious sheen that contrasts with the interior.

The X Convertible concept works as an open-air theatre, which provides drivers and passengers with an unparalleled sensory experience.
