Genesis has always been at the forefront when it comes to luxury, and now we’re a leader when it comes to green technology, too. It produces many exceptional electric vehicles, including the 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70. If you’re interested in the powertrain of this EV and how it all works, this rundown is for you.

Dual-Motor Powertrain

The 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 gets it power from two electric motors, and each sit on an axle. In order to get moving, they rely on power from a 77.4 kWh battery pack. Combined, they produce 429 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque; and thanks to a special Boost mode, horsepower can increase to 483 for 10 seconds.

All-Wheel Drive

Because both axles in the 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 have a motor, this SUV has all-wheel drive. However, thanks to the innovative Disconnector Actuator System the motor and drive shaft can be disconnected — this allows all-wheel drive to be used only when needed. Plus, thanks to an electronically controlled suspension, it offers an exceptionally smooth ride.

Driving Range and Charging Time

When the battery in the 2025 Genesis Electrified GV70 is fully charged, it offers an EPA-estimated driving range of 236 miles. This SUV comes with a 10.5-kW onboard charger, and this enables a 240-volt charger to charge up the battery completely from 10% in about seven hours. A 50-kW fast charger can take the SUV from 10% to 80% in 73 minutes, and a 250-kW charger will do that is under 20 minutes.
